Opening Lines for 2020-21 Big 12 Bowl Games
Cotton Bowl: Florida -3 vs. Oklahoma
Fiesta Bowl: Iowa State -4 vs. Oregon
Alamo Bowl: Texas -12 vs. Colorado
Cheez-It Bowl: Oklahoma State -3 vs. Miami
Texas Bowl: TCU -5 vs. Arkansas
Liberty Bowl: West Virginia vs. Army (NO line yet)
Overall, there’s some nice respect here for the Big 12 here, as they are favored in five of their six games. I admit, I’m surprised. That being said, bowl games are always some of the toughest games to handicap because key players may not play due to NFL Draft preparations and you don’t know what the motivation is for each team based on how their respective seasons ended.
Of these lines, the ones I like the most are Oklahoma +3 against Florida, as I believe all of the young guys who grew leaps and bounds will be very motivated in their first bowl game. Plus, I like TCU -5 against Arkansas, as Gary Patterson also has his young team motivated and focused late in the season.
As always, I’ll release my Big 12 bowl picks against the spread within the next week. On the season, our picks went 29-21.
