AP All-Big 12 Team: Iowa State Leads the Way in Awards

The Associated Press released its All-Big 12 team and top players on Thursday. Like he did in the coaches awards, Iowa State RB Breece Hall was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while linebacker Mike Rose took home Defensive Player of the Year honors. Also, Matt Campbell was named the Big 12 coach of the Year.
Meantime, the first team players on both sides of the ball were selected. The obvious difference from the coaches, was Spencer Rattler being named the First-Team quarterback after getting snubbed from the First and Second-Teams by the coaches in favor of Iowa State’s Brock Purdy and Texas’ Sam Ehlinger.
Iowa State had four first-team selections for the AP All-Big 12 team, matching Oklahoma and Texas Tech for the most in league.
