Iowa State Leads Big 12 in FWAA 2020 All-American Team

NCAA Football: Akron at Iowa State

Iowa State running back Breece Hall and defensive end JaQuan Bailey gave the Cyclones two First-Team All-Americans on the 2020 Football Writers Association of America All-America team, along with Texas linebacker Joseph Ossai.

Hall, who was named to the First Team of the Associated Press All-America team earlier this week, will play for the Cyclones on Jan. 2 in the Fiesta Bowl against Oregon. Entering the game Hall has 1,436 rushing yards and 19 touchdowns.

Bailey, who was on the Associated Press Third Team, enters the Fiesta Bowl with 38 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

Ossai declared for the NFL Draft earlier this month after a productive junior season with the Longhorns. Ossai finished 2020 with 55 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, five sacks and three forced fumbles. He was named to the First Team of the Associated Press All-America team earlier this week.

West Virginia defensive lineman Darius Stills, a senior, wrapped up 2020 with 22 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 7.5 tackles for a loss. He made the FWAA Second-Team, and Stills wraps up his career on New Year’s Eve in the Liberty Bowl against Army West Point.

Two other Big 12 players made the Second Team — TCU safety Trevon Moehrig and West Virginia safety Tykee Smith. Both were a part of the AP team earlier this week.
