Tom Rinaldi’s Emotional Goodbye to College GameDay

NCAA Football: Michigan at Ohio State

There are often times plenty of reasons to make fun of ESPN and some of its personalities (we’re looking at you Joey Galloway). But in all seriousness, there are some great journalists and personalities with the company. At the top of the list is Tom Rinaldi, who is leaving ESPN for FOX Sports. Rinaldi has been with ESPN since 2002.

And on Friday morning’s College GameDay, Tom Rinaldi signed off from ESPN for the final time. Rinaldi has been one of the most professional journalists for several years and is an incredible storyteller as well.

Also, his colleagues, Rece Davis, Kirk Herbtreit, Desmond Howard and David Pollack all paid tribute to him, while Rinaldi also said “goodbye and thank you” in the most Tom Rinaldi way possible… with his own letter and story.

Take a look.

Here’s the College Gameday crew saying goodbye to Tom Rinaldi.

According to reports, Rinaldi is expected to be featured across all of FOX Sports’ major events, including the Super Bowl and World Series, but of course college football as well.
