Texas Players React to Tom Herman Getting Fired
The news that shocked the college footall world broke shortly after 10:30 a.m. CST on Saturday that Texas had fired head Tom Herman. This came less than a month after athletic director Chris Del Conte basically said Herman and his staff would be back for the 2021 season.
And it seemed like the news wasn’t just a shock to many in college football, the Big 12 and Texas fans, but also many of the players, who began reacting immediately on social media. Here’s what many of them had to say.
It sure does sound like Texas Longhorns players were completely caught off guard by what happened. Granted, I have never believed college players should dictate who is hired and fired, but considering firing Herman wasn’t an obvious thing to do, especially since Urban Meyer was not interested, this is an interesting twist.
