Baylor is once again looking for a new offensive line coach. Just one day after hiring Ryan Pugh from Troy, it appears that Baylor is already moving in a different direction.
Wednesday evening Baylor head coach Dave Arana released a statement saying “Since the recent announcement of Ryan Pugh as Baylor’s offensive line coach, we have decided to move in a different direction. We are currently in the process of filling the resulting vacancy. We wish Ryan the best in his future endeavors.”
Pugh was someone who worked alongside current offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes at BYU back in 2018 before spending the last two seasons at Troy where he served as the offensive coordinator as well as being the offensive line coach.
The reason for the move is unclear although there are several rumors out there. Either way, Baylor is still left without an offensive line coach and will be looking to fill that position soon.
