Oklahoma, Iowa State Given Top 5 Odds to Win 2021 National Championship

The 2020 college football season came to an end on Monday night with the Alabama Crimson Tide rolling over the Ohio State Buckeyes. If you already can’t wait for next season to start, God willing with full stadiums and normal schedules, then join the club.
Well on Tuesday, we already got a way-too-early look at the 2021 National Championship odds and there is actually more Big 12 love than I expected.
2021 College Football Playoff Odds (SuperBookSports)
Alabama 9/5
Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State 5/1
Oklahoma 8/1
LSU 25/1
Iowa State 40/1
Texas A&M 50/1
Also in the Big 12, the Texas Longhorns are in at 100/1 odds, while Oklahoma State, TCU and West Virginia all have 200/1 odds.
The Oklahoma Sooners are coming back with a ton to prove after the way they finished the season. But Iowa State isn’t slacking in confidence after a run to the Fiesta Bowl and then a ton of key players announcing they’re coming back in 2021.
There’s no doubt college football has become more top heavy under the College Football Playoff format, which I don’t believe to be good for the sport. But finding two Big 12 teams with Top 5 National Championship Odds, and 60% of the conference getting any odds is a pretty darn good spot for the Big 12 Conference to beat heading into the offseason.
In other odds, Oklahoma QB Spencer Rattler is already the 2021 Heisman Trophy favorite. Now OU fans just need to hope that Lincoln Riley doesn’t get enticed by the Philadelphia Eagles job.
