WVU Wide Receiver Ali Jennings to Enter NCAA Transfer Portal

The West Virginia Mountaineers have lost an offensive weapon in wide receiver Ali Jennings, who announced he would be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Jennings made the announcement on Twitter on Thursday morning.
Jennings had a really solid freshman season with 19 receptions for 192 yards, but his sophomore season was marred by injury and limited production.
Jennings suffered a hamstring injury during fall camp, causing him to miss the first few games of the season and his season finished with only seven catches on the year.
Ali will have three years of eligibility left and an additional redshirt year if he chooses to use it. The three years are due to the NCAA granting all players in 2020 a free year of eligibility.
Jennings was a rated three-star WR coming out of Highland Springs, Virginia and picked West Virginia over Michigan State, Temple and others.
The Mountaineers are coming off a 6-4 season that was capped off with a win in the Liberty Bowl over Army. The defensive side of the ball led WVU in 2020, and now the offense has more questions that Neal Brown needs to get figured out by next season.
