Oklahoma Lands Third Tennessee Transfer Since Last Week

The Sooners continue to be red hot with the transfer portal. Especially when it comes to former Tennessee players. After getting former five-star offensive tackle Wayna Morris last week they also got Tennessee’s top 2020 recruit in Key Lawrence on Monday.
However, the Knoxville to Norman connection isn’t done yet as Oklahoma has just landed former Tennessee running back Eric Gray. Eric had rushed for a total of 1,311 yards and eight touchdowns during his two seasons as a Volunteer.
Oklahoma is in need of a star running back as Rhamondre Stevenson has decided to turn pro and with the transfer of T.J. Pledger. With those two gone, it leaves just Marcus Major and Seth McGowan in the backfield which neither one has a ton of experience.
I am sure the Sooners were looking for a back with plenty of experience and that is something Eric certainly has. Gray currently has three years of eligibility left due to this past season not counting as a year of eligibility. As of now, the Sooners have not yet announced a date for spring football which will be the first time we get to see all three of these Tennessee players in an Oklahoma uniform.
