Patrick Mahomes Laughs in Response to Robert Saleh’s Analysis of his ‘Old Man Jog’

As Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs get ready for the Super Bowl next week, everyone in the NFL is trying to figure out one question: How do we stop No. 15?
Well new Jets head coach Robert Saleh has some thoughts. He was the 49ers defensive coordinator and faced Mahomes in the Super Bowl last year. He told Pro Football Talk, “You’ve got to be relentless. You have to be relentless. Just when you think you might have him, he might step two steps back and then throw off his back foot. I mean, he has ridiculous arm talent. He’s got tremendous accuracy. He’s got tremendous mobility. But any time you’re a pass rusher just understand that he might do his little old man jog in between plays where it looks like his feet hurt. Don’t kid yourself. He’s got tremendous mobility, his arm strength is ridiculous. You have to be relentless all the way through. And understand that there could be a play and a second play that happens just because of his ability to extend plays and make the throws that other people can’t.”
The line, “But any time you’re a pass rusher just understand that he might do his little old man jog in between plays where it looks like his feet hurt. Don’t kid yourself. He’s got tremendous mobility, his arm strength is ridiculous,” got the most attention.
That line got the most attention and made it to Twitter as the headline.
That tweet got back to Mahomes who simply responded.
Needless to say, while he might be preparing for one of the two biggest games of his life, he’s still monitoring social media and trying to find some bulletin board material. Or maybe he just knows people are on to his “old man jog”?
