AP Poll: Big 12 Has Six Teams in Top 20

Once again, the Big 12 Conference is showing off its depth in the weekly AP Poll rankings with another strong showing. The Conference has six teams ranked in the Top 20.
The Baylor Bears, who have gone weeks since playing their last game, are still ranked at No. 2. The Oklahoma Sooners, who had their Texas game postponed and then beat Iowa State, moved up from No. 9 to No. 7 this week. The West Virginia Mountaineers got a close win over the Texas Longhorns and slid up three spots to crack the Top 10 at No. 10. Meantime, the Texas Longhorns fell two places to No. 14. The Kansas Jayhawks got an impressive bounce back win over Texas Tech and landed in the No. 17 spot this week, while Tech is one spot behind at No. 18.

Also of note, the Oklahoma State Cowboys just missed the Top 25, with 92 votes. So that means the Big 12 had 70% of the conference ranked in the Top 26 this week. Unbelieveable.
There’s no doubt the Big 12 is the top basketball conference in the country this year. And Big 12 fans got good news with 20% capacity allowed at the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City next month.
