NCAA Basketball: Texas at Baylor

Six Big 12 players are featured on Sports Illustrated’s top 50 college basketball players of 2020-21, which was released on Wednesday.

The highest ranking Big 12 player on the list was Baylor guard Jared Butler, who was just named the AP Big 12 Player of the Year, and is the Heartland College Sports Big 12 Player of the Year. Butler and the Bears debut in the Big 12 Tournament on Thursday in Kansas City.

Right behind Butler at No. 3 was Oklahoma State freshman Cade Cunningham, who was the coaches’ selection as the Big 12 Player of the Year. The Cowboys play West Virginia on Thursday in the Big 12 tournament. Cunningham and Butler are both up for national player of the year awards.
