Iowa State forward Solomon Young is selling his old Cyclones gear, if his Twitter feed and Instagram page are any indication.
Young, who just wrapped up his career with the Cyclones, posted to his Twitter feed Wednesday night with a link to his Instagram page, letting Iowa State fans know that his gear is up for sale.
When you head to Young’s Instagram page (his handle is @soloslocker), you can find more than 40 pieces of ISU basketball swag, including shorts, warm-up pants, hats, beanies, and hoodies.
Young, who played for five seasons for the Cyclones, said in late February that he wasn’t going to use the additional year of eligibility afforded to all players by the NCAA due to COVID-19. Instead, he’ll pursue a professional career.
Young averaged 7.5 points and 4.3 rebounds for his career, while shooting 53 percent from the floor. He was part of the Cyclones’ run to the 2019 Big 12 Tournament championship.
The Cyclones have lost several players to the transfer portal since the season ended, including guard Rasir Bolton, who submitted his name earlier this week.
All this comes in the wake of the firing of Steve Prohm, and the hiring of T.J. Otzelberger, as head coach after the Cyclones went 2-22 and winless in Big 12 action last season.
