Baylor Bears guard Mark Vital is known as the team’s ‘glue guy.’ Well, now he’s selling the swag that goes along with it online.
On Saturday, Vital launched vital goods, through itemorder.com, which features the ‘Glue Guy’ hoodie that he created himself and showed off during a Sirius XM interview with Holly Rowe earlier this season.
The site features T-shirts and hoodies in black, gray, and white. The front features the ‘Glue Guy’ logo and the back features the definitions that Vital came up with to illustrate what a ‘Glue Guy’ is.
Vital’s site is taking orders through April 30 and some folks already have their hands on the goods.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound guard has been a part of the Baylor program for five seasons and was considered one of the county’s best defenders and rebounding guards throughout his career. Along with being a finalist for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year award in 2020, a three-time All-Big 12 honoree and a two-time All-Big 12 Defensive Team selection, he was named to Seth Davis’ 21st-annual All-Glue Team in 2020.
Baylor won its first national championship in men’s basketball on Monday, and other Bears are enjoying the success. Vital’s teammate, MaCio Teague, will have a day named for him in his native Cincinnati on Wednesday, and throw out the first pitch at a Reds game on Friday, as part of a ‘MaCio Teague Week’ in Cincinnati.
