Baylor Bears guard Mark Vital has taken his talents to Cameo, the celebrity shout-out platform that allows direct connections with fans through personal video messages.
Vital posted his first Cameo to his Twitter feed on Wednesday.
Vital said he was hoping to use Cameo as a way to connect with Baylor fans as the offseason continues. A search on the Cameo platform reveals that fans can get a personal video message from Vital for $20 and a direct message for $4.99. Vital already has three five-star reviews as of Thursday.
His debut on Cameo comes on the heels of Vital launching his ‘Vital Goods’ brand, which features the ‘Glue Guy’ hoodie that he created himself and showed off during a Sirius XM interview with Holly Rowe earlier this season.
Those hoodies and T-shirts and hoodies come in black, gray, and white. The front features the ‘Glue Guy’ logo and the back features the definitions that Vital came up with to illustrate what a ‘Glue Guy’ is.
Vital’s site is taking orders through April 30.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound guard has been a part of the Baylor program for five seasons and was considered one of the county’s best defenders and rebounding guards throughout his career. Along with being a finalist for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year award in 2020, a three-time All-Big 12 honoree and a two-time All-Big 12 Defensive Team selection, he was named to Seth Davis’ 21st-annual All-Glue Team in 2020.
Vital and Baylor won its first national championship in men’s basketball earlier this month, and other Bears are enjoying the success. Vital’s teammate, MaCio Teague, will have a day named for him in his native Cincinnati on Wednesday, and throw out the first pitch at a Reds game on Friday, as part of a ‘MaCio Teague Week’ in Cincinnati.
