Iowa State’s Breece Hall, Mike Rose in 2022 NFL Draft Mock

Iowa State linebacker Mike Rose and running back Breece Hall were among the Big 12 players selected in a one-round 2022 NFL Mock Draft by NBCSports.com.
Rose and Hall are coming off All-Big 12 seasons in 2020, with Hall becoming the program’s first unanimous All-American. It’s interesting that the mock draft had the pair going back-to-back.
Rose went No. 25 overall to the Cleveland Browns, with the author writing that Rose’s draft stock could soar in 2021 and that he has the potential to be a Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate.
Then, at No. 26, The Miami Dolphins took Hall, who rushed for 1,572 yards and scored 21 touchdowns in 2020. The Dolphins have been struggling the past few years finding a primary ball carrier. Hall could be an answer to that struggle.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma Sooners came out quite nicely in this mock draft, too. The defending Big 12 champions had three players selected in the first round of this mock. Quarterback Spencer Rattler went No. 9 to the Washington Football team, which admittedly needs a quarterback of the future, even with the selection of Stanford’s Davis Mills last weekend.
Linebacker Nik Bonitto found his way into the mock at No. 18, selected by the Los Angeles Chargers. Finally, defensive tackle Perrion Winfield went No. 28 to the Baltimore Ravens, a pick that sounds picture-perfect for the defensive-minded Ravens and their head coach, John Harbaugh.
