OSU Lifts Capacity Restrictions For Remainder of Spring Sports

Oklahoma State University athletics announced on Sunday that the school would be allowing full capacity for its remaining Spring of 2021 athletics events.

This came just in time for the ‘Bedlam’ softball game scheduled against Oklahoma in Stillwater.

The ruling also includes Oklahoma State’s remaining baseball games at home — May 11 against Oklahoma, May 14-16 against Baylor, and May 20-22 against New Orleans. After that, the Big 12 Tournament begins May 26 in Oklahoma City.

Remaining tickets for the games against Baylor and New Orleans will go on sale at 3 p.m. on May 11.

According to Oklahoma State’s release, fans will still be required to wear masks, except when actively eating and drinking.

Oklahoma State’s release did not include information about football. But, in February, Oklahoma State athletic director Mike Holder announced that the Cowboys was planning on full capacity at 2021 football games at Boone Pickens Stadium.

Other Big 12 schools are already planning ahead, too. West Virginia announced on May 7 that is it planning for full capacity at football games in the fall, noting that the football program is planning its ticketing policy for full capacity.

Both Texas and Oklahoma announced earlier this year that both were planning for full capacity at football games in the fall.
