The TCU Horned Frogs have picked up a late addition for the Class of 2021 who could have a major impact this fall and beyond. On Saturday, former Texas A&M wide receiver Shadrach Banks announced he was heading to Fort Worth.

Banks was an early enrollee as part of Texas A&M’s 2021 recruiting class. He signed with the Aggies last December over offers from Alabama, Texas, Auburn and Florida State. This time around, after entering the portal, he picked the Horned Frogs over Texas and Auburn.

Banks was listed as a four-star recruit out of North Shore High School (same school as running back Zach Evans) and was the No. 18 wide receiver in this yearโ€™s class, according to 247sports.

However, according to the TCU site Horned Frog Blitz, Banks is expected to start playing linebacker at TCU. This is a position is in need in Fort Worth as the projected top three linebackers in Dee Winters,ย Wyatt Harrisย andย Jamoi Hodge all missed spring camp due to injuries.

Banks is expected to be ready to start practicing during summer camp.
