TCU RB Darwin Barlow Enters Transfer Portal

The TCU Horned Frogs are losing running back Darwin Barlow to the transfer portal. Barlow announced the news on his Twitter page on Thursday afternoon.
Barlow rushed for 428 yards and four touchdowns in 10 games. His best game came against the Baylor Bears on Halloween when he racked up 117 rushing yards and a touchdown on 16 carries.
Barlow said in part in a statement, “It started with God so it shall continue with him. I will always give him the glory because it is he who has made all this possible for me. First, I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to play football on a college level at Texas Christian University. These past two years have been an incredible experience. I have made relationships that will be with me for a lifetime. I wish nothing but the best for Coach P, his staff, my teammates and the entire Horned Frog nation.”

Barlow came out of high school in Newton, Texas, where he was a three-star prospect and was ranked the No. 31 running back in the nation in the Class of 2019, according to 247Sports. He picked TCU over Oklahoma State, Arkansas, USC and Minnesota. He’s now one of the top prospects available in the transfer portal and will be a big addition for whichever team adds him before the 2021 college football season.
Meantime, the Horned Frogs will rely even more on Zach Evans, the five-star running back they added in the Class of 2020.
