Oklahoma Opens as Big Favorite Over Nebraska, Texas

The 2021 Big 12 football season is still weeks away, but when we get spreads for games, it starts to feel that much closer. We got that on Monday as South Point Las Vegas released its spreads for some of the biggest games of the 2021 college football season.
For the Oklahoma Sooners, they’ll likely be the favorite in every game they play this season, and that includes being a big favorite in some games. In their non-conference match up against Nebraska, which the Cornhuskers tried to bail out of, Oklahoma opens up as a 19-point favorite. Also, the Sooners are already a 9-point favorite over the Texas Longhorns in the 2021 edition of the Red River Rivalry.
Here’s a rundown on some of the other spreads in the biggest games for the 2021 college football season.
Opening lines from @southpointlv:
Ohio St -13 Ore
Bama -13 Miami
Clem -3.5 UGA
Penn St -3.5 Aub
OU -9 Texas
Bama -11 at UF
NDame -1 USC
OU -19 Neb
Iowa St -7 Iowa
Wis -4 Notre Dame
Ore -4 at Wash
NDame E UNC
Ohio St -13 at Mich
Army -6 Navy pic.twitter.com/7L2cVMf3BI— Brett McMurphy (@Brett_McMurphy) May 24, 2021
Also of note, Oklahoma is a five-point favorite over Iowa State in their already highly-anticipated late November match up.
And while there’s still plenty of time to analyze these lines, with the way things went this offseason, I feel like hammering that Nebraska -19 number feels like some easy money, at least at the moment!
