TCU’s Mike Miles Leads Big 12 Players on USA U-19 Camp Roster

TCU guard Mike Miles leads the Big 12 players that will be part of the USA Men’s Basketball Under-19 training camp that will start June 20 at TCU in Fort Worth.
Practices will be held at TCU because Horned Frogs boss Jamie Dixon is leading the team into the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup in July.
Miles, who played for Dixon last season, is on the training camp roster. Miles was an All-Big 12 Freshman Team selection who averaged 13.6 points per game. He’s one of the few starters returning to TCU next season, as the program has been decimated by transfers.
Defending national champion Baylor has two players on the training camp roster. Kendall Brown and Langston Love, significant components of the Bears’ incoming 2021 recruiting class, are part of the pool of players. Brown played at Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas, while Love played at Montverde Academy, the same academy that produced former Oklahoma State guard Cade Cunningham.

The fourth Big 12 player is a new player for the Texas Longhorns, Devin Askew, who transferred from Kentucky after last season. With the Wildcats, Askew averaged 6.5 points, 2.9 assists and 2.6 rebounds per game.
Askew is also the only member of the training camp roster with international experience. He was part of the 2019 USA 3×3 U19 World Cup Team that captured the gold medal.
Players who are 19 years of age or younger are eligible to play for the team.
Featuring U19 teams from 16 nations, the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup is scheduled to be held July 3-11 in Riga and Daugavpils, Latvia. In addition to the USA and host Latvia, teams that will take part in this summer’s U19 World Cup include Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, France, Japan, Lithuania, Mali, Puerto Rico, Senegal, Serbia, South Korea, Spain and Turkey.
