The USC Trojans are adding a second Big 12 running back this offseason. Former TCU running back Darwin Barlow, who entered the transfer portal in May, announced on Twitter he’s also heading to Southern California.

Barlow wrapped up his second season with the Horned Frogs where he played in 10 games and made four starts, rushing for 428 yards and four touchdowns. His best game came during TCU’s 33-23 win at Baylor when he piled up 117 yards. Barlow ended his time at TCU with 527 career rushing yards and 5 touchdowns.
Barlow was unlikely to be the starting running back for the Horned Frogs this fall, or in 2022, as 5-star running back Zach Evans stepped in as a true freshman last season and clearly became the top option for Gary Patterson’s offense. Evans rushed for 415 yards and four touchdowns for TCU last fall.
Evans joins former Texas running back Keaontay Ingram in Southern California, as the ex-Longhorn also elected to join the USC Trojans earlier this offseason. Ingram saw his playing time decrease for Texas last season. He will have two years of playing time available with the USC Trojans.
