ESPN’s Heather Dinich Predicts Oklahoma, Iowa State to Make CFB Playoff

NCAA Football: Oklahoma at Iowa State

The Big 12 Conference is getting plenty of hype this offseason, most notably from the Oklahoma Sooners and Iowa State Cyclones. Both teams believe they can make a run at the College Football Playoff this season, and there are even ESPN FPI projections that believe there’s a chance both can end up in the Playoff, if things break just right.

But it’s rare when national talking heads are on the Big 12 bandwagon, however we’ve found one in ESPN’s Heather Dinich.

She joined ESPN’s Get Up this week and talked up both Big 12 teams saying in part, “I’m on the Big 12 bandwagon… and it’s because of Iowa State. I think that they have a chance at a really special season, and its’ because they have two Heisman hopefuls {Breece Hall and Brock Purdy]… Matt Campbell has the ability to recruit three-stars and get them to compete like five-stars.”

Dinich goes on to point out that Iowa State needs to beat Iowa in September or the chance of two Big 12 teams in the Playoff becomes highly unlikely.

Of course, you can then watch Paul Finebaum poo-poo this notion, while admitting he’s an SEC fan boy, and then Dinich smacks him down by pointing out the weakness of the SEC East.

By the way, after Heather Dinich talked up the Big 12, while denegrating the SEC, I will expect her to be put on a leave of absence by ESPN in the near future. The Worldwide Leader cannot allow that to happen on its airwaves.

Here’s the video.
