As we close in on just over one month until the college football season kicks off, we’ve got updated odds on the upcoming Big 12 football season.
The Oklahoma Sooners have won six Big 12 championships in a row and deserve to be the favorites once again. Heisman favorite Spencer Rattler leads the way for the Sooners and the defense is as stout as it’s been in a decade. So OU is the favorite, followed by Iowa State, who made the Big 12 Championship Game last season and returns 19 of 22 starters.
Then, Texas is No. 3. That’s likely driven by the fact that Texas has a national fan base who will bet their team. The Longhorns are followed by TCU, Oklahoma State and West Virginia. And the conference odds wrap up with Baylor, Kansas State and Texas Tech, and it’s Kansas pulling up the rear at a wild 2,000-1 odds.
My two cents: The value bets appear to be TCU and Oklahoma State.
