The Big 12 football season is just two weeks away and it’s time to start thinking about who is going to win the league. The Oklahoma Sooners have won the conference for six straight years and are the favorites, once again, to take home the Big 12 crown. They’re lead by Heisman Trophy favorite Spencer Rattler, who is returning at quarterback after his freshman campaign in 2020.
After Oklahoma, at 1/2 odds, the Iowa State Cyclones, who played OU in the Big 12 Championship Game last year. There is a big drop off after Iowa State, with the Texas Longhorns coming in with the third-best odds at 15/2, following by Oklahoma State and TCU, both with 14/1 odds to win the Big 12.
Here’s full rundown.
2021 Big 12 Odds (8/20/21, BetOnline.ag)
Iowa State 5/2
Oklahoma State 14/1
West Virginia 25/1
Kansas State 33/1
Texas Tech 66/1
The best value bet? The TCU Horned Frogs at 14/1. If Max Duggan and the TCU offense can put points on the board, Gary Patterson will have this defense in its usual spot and TCU can compete for the No. 2 spot in the league, maybe reach a conference title and then try and pull off an upset.
