Baylor Bears Unveil Their 2021-22 Non-Conference Schedule

NCAA Basketball: Baylor at Texas

The Baylor Bears will host Stanford and Villanova, and travel to Oregon and Alabama during their 2021-22 non-conference schedule, released on Tuesday.

The non-conference schedule is heavy on programs that should give the defending national champions a good run as they prepare for Big 12 action, which should start in January.

The Stanford matchup, on Nov. 20 in Waco, is the last of four home games to start the season for the Bears. Baylor begins its defense of its 2020-21 men’s national basketball championship at home against Incarnate Word on Nov. 12, a night that will also include the unveiling of its national title banner.

At the Battle 4 Atlantis, which will be held in the Bahamas, the Bears start the tournament with a game against Arizona State on Nov. 24. Then, depending on how the other games go, the Bears could face Auburn, UConn, Loyola-Chicago, Michigan State, Syracuse or VCU.

The Bears host Villanova at home on Dec. 4, the Bears’ Big 12-Big East Battle game. Six days later, the Bears play one of their two true road games in non-conference action when they head to Eugene, Oregon, to face Oregon on Dec. 18.

The other true road game is against Alabama on Jan. 29 in the Big 12-SEC Challenge.
