Big 12 Down to Two Teams Ranked in Top 25 of AP Poll

Big 12 football

Week 2 of the college football season was a tough one for the Big 12 Conference. Texas got blown out by Arkansas in Fayetteville, while Iowa State got rolled by Iowa, and then some teams, like Kansas State and Texas Tech, struggled with their FCS opponents.

So with all that taking place on Saturday, the latest AP Poll saw the Big 12 fall to just two teams ranked in the Top 25. The Oklahoma Sooners, who crushed Western Carolina 76-0, sit at No. 3, moving up one spot after Ohio State lost to Oregon, while Iowa State fell from No. 9 to No. 14. With Iowa’s win in Ames on Saturday, the Hawkeyes moved up into the Top 5 this week. Arkansas is also ranked No. 20 after their win over Texas.
