Watch: Oklahoma Fans Chant For Caleb Williams to Replace Spencer Rattler

Oklahoma QB Spencer Rattler started the season as the preseason Heisman favorite, but in the fourth game of the season, OU fans are already looking for a change.
On Saturday night in prime time against West Virginia, a portion of OU fans started calling for Rattler’s backup Caleb Williams in the second quarter after Rattler threw an interception with the game tied at seven.
Here’s video and audio of the chant breaking out in Norman.
Rattler has thrown eight touchdowns and three interceptions in 2021, and while Oklahoma is 3-0 and the No. 4 team in the country, it certainly hasn’t been pretty. The Sooners scored just three points in the second half in a season-opening 40-35 win over Tulane and beat Nebraska 23-16 in Week 3, but that game could have gone either way as well.
Last season, Spencer Rattler was left off the coaches All-Big 12 First and Second teams, but he made our Heartland College Sports All-Big 12 team.
Rattler finished the 2020 campaign with 3,031 passing yards, 28 touchdown passes and seven interceptions, while completing 68% of his passes. He also ran for 160 yards and six scores.
There still is time for him to turn his season around, but the thought of him winning a Heisman and being a top pick in the NFL Draft, like Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, seem less likely by the week.
