Watch: Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy Celebrates Kansas State Covering Spread vs. Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Sooners went on to beat the Kansas State Wildcats 37-31 on Saturday, snapping a two-game skid against the Cats.

The Sooners kicked a field goal with 1:33 left in the game to take a 37-24 lead. But on the returning kickoff, Malik Knowles took it 93 yards to the house for a score, and after the extra point, Kansas State went on to lose by the final 37-31.

For those interested in the spread, Oklahoma opened as a 10-point favorite, and the line moved to 12.5 by kick off. That means that the Sooner had covered the spread with 1:33 remaining, and then Knowles’ returning kick off gave the Wildcats the cover.

Undoubtedly, there were lots of happy bettors, including Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who tweeted out this video after the cover by Kansas State.

For what it’s worth, this bettor was not happy, as I had Oklahoma covering the 10 points in Manhattan.

For Oklahoma, they are now just 1-4 against the spread this season, despite being 5-0. OU did not cover the spread against Tulane, Nebraska, West Virginia and now Kansas State.

But what Lincoln Riley cares about is that OU is 5-0 and will likely hold onto their Top 5 ranking come Sunday afternoon.
