Big 12 Bowl Projections Entering Week 6

Even though we are just five weeks into the college football season, that doesn’t mean we can’t look ahead to what the future may hold. There are still plenty of important games to get through and a long way to go but it is never too early to start thinking about the postseason.
Brett McMurphy from the Action Network recently released his latest college football bowl projections. It is always interesting to see how things change from week to week but here is what Brett currently has listed for the Big 12.
CFB Playoff Goodyear Cotton Bowl
Oklahoma vs Alabama
Allstate Sugar Bowl
Oklahoma State vs Arkansas
Texas Bowl
Texas Tech vs LSU
Valero Alamo Bowl
Iowa State vs Oregon State
Cheez-It Bowl
Texas vs Notre Dame
Guaranteed Rate Bowl
Kansas State vs Minnesota
AutoZone Liberty Bowl
Baylor vs Texas A&M
SERVPRO First Responder Bowl
TCU vs Utah
While there are still eight Big 12 trams in Brett’s bowl projections, there have been quite a few changes since last week. The biggest change is that Oklahoma went back to the College Football Playoff this week.
Another team making a big jump was Oklahoma State. Last week they were slated to go to the Alamo Bowl but now they are penciled in for a NY6 bowl.
TCU, Kansas State, Texas, and Iowa State are in similar positions from last week as well as Baylor. However, look at Baylor’s opponent for the Liberty Bowl. Texas A&M going up against Baylor in a bowl game? Sign me up because I would love to see that matchup.
One substantial change from this list? Texas Tech is back in the bowl picture and while they come in, West Virginia is out. That would be huge for Matt Wells to get to a bowl game, and it would be absolutely devastating for Neal Brown if the Mountaineers sat at home during bowl season.
