Week 7 AP Poll: Oklahoma Sooners Enter Top 5, Texas Stays in Top 25

The latest AP Poll is out and three Big 12 teams remain ranked with the Oklahoma Sooners, Oklahoma State Cowboys and Texas Longhorns are all in the Top 25.

This despite the Oklahoma Sooners coming back to beat the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, both teams, rightfully so, remain ranked. Texas jumped out to a 28-7 first quarter lead before OU replaced Spencer Rattler at quarterback with Caleb Williams, who eventually led the comeback, including outscoring Texas 25-7 in the fourth quarter.

So here’s a look at the Top 25 for Week 7 of the 2021 college football season.

The Big 12 has three ranked teams, which is behind the SEC, which has seven, and the Big Ten, which has five. But that is ahead of the Pac-12 and ACC, who each have two in the Top 25. The AAC also has two teams ranked in the Top 25.

Baylor is the third team on the outside looking in receiving votes, while Kansas State also picked up a couple of votes as well.
