David McCormack, Terrence Shannon Jr., Others Headed for Big 12 Media Day

Kansas forward David McCormack and Texas Tech guard/forward Terrence Shannon Jr. will be among 19 players attending Big 12 men’s basketball media day next week.
The league’s coaches, players and media will be in Kansas City on Oct. 20 for interviews. Media day is closed to the public, but it will be streamed live on ESPNU and Big 12 Now on ESPN+. The ESPNU coverage will begin at 8:30 am CT, while ESPN+ will begin at 8:45 am CT. The event will end at 12:30 pm CT.
McCormack is the reigning Big 12 Most Improved Player of the Year and is one of four returning starters for the Jayhawks this season. McCormack was also a second-team selection.
Shannon is Texas Tech’s top returning player and flirted with the NBA before returning for his junior season. He was an All-Big 12 Third-Team pick a year ago.

The Baylor Bears are the defending national champions. Texas is bringing two players that weren’t with the program last season, despite the return of All-Big 12 Second Team guard Andrew Jones. Iowa State is bringing just one player, Conditt, who is in his fourth year with the program.
