Ernest Udeh Jr. Announces His Commitment to Kansas

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Salt Lake City Practice

Ernest Udeh Jr., considered a Top 30 recruit in the 2022 Class, announced on Wednesday that he’s committed to the Kansas Jayhawks.

The commitment is non-binding. The first day Udeh and other Class of 2022 recruits can sign scholarship offers is Nov. 10.

Per 247Sports.com, the 6-foot-10 Udeh is the No. 27 recruit nationally and the No. 7 center in the 2022 Class. He could be a future replacement on the Jayhawk frontcourt, which has a senior starter in the paint in David McCormack.

Udeh plays for Dr. Phillips High School in Orlando, Florida.

After a few years of struggles on the recruiting trail, by Kansas’ standards, Kansas head coach Bill Self is putting together a 2022 Class that is shaping up to be a Top 10 class in the nation. Udeh is the third four-star recruit to commit to Kansas for 2022, along with forward Gradey Dick of Sunrise Christian in Wichita, Kansas, and forward Zuby Ejiofor out of Garland, Texas.

Kansas has one five-star recruit in MJ Rice, who plays forward for Prolific Prep in Napa, California.

The Jayhawks are considered the favorite to win the Big 12 Conference, and transfer Remy Martin is the Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year. The Jayhawks are also No. 3 in the AP Top 25 Preseason poll.
