Big 12 Bowl Projections Entering Week 8

Even though we are just seven weeks into the college football season, that doesn’t mean we can’t look ahead to what the future may hold. There are still plenty of important games to get through and a long way to go but it is never too early to start thinking about the postseason.
Brett McMurphy from the Action Network recently released his latest college football bowl projections. It is always interesting to see how things change from week to week but here is what Brett currently has listed for the Big 12.
CFB Playoff Capital One Orange Bowl
Oklahoma vs Georgia
Allstate Sugar Bowl
Oklahoma State vs Kentucky
Texas Bowl
Texas vs Mississippi State
Valero Alamo Bowl
Baylor vs Utah
Cheez-It Bowl
Iowa State vs Clemson
Guaranteed Rate Bowl
TCU vs Maryland
AutoZone Liberty Bowl
Texas Tech vs Tennessee
SERVPRO First Responder Bowl
Kansas State vs Tulsa
Not a whole lot has changed since last week as there are still eight Big 12 teams making the cut. Oklahoma’s playoff opponent went from Alabama to Georgia and Oklahoma State’s opponent also remains the same in the Sugar Bowl.
While there isn’t much changing at the top of the list, everywhere else has a change made to it. Baylor moved up to the Alamo Bowl where Iowa State was last week, and the Cyclones now have a new bowl game in Orlando facing a talented Clemson team.
Meanwhile, Texas is slotted to play Mike Leach in Houston. Another interesting change is at the bottom with Kansas State and Texas Tech. The Red Raiders got bumped up to the Liberty Bowl while Kansas State fell to the First Responder Bowl. Kansas State will be traveling to Lubbock this weekend and the outcome of that game could change the projections for next week.
