Baylor Center Queen Egbo is one of two Big 12 players selected to the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award watch list released last Friday.
Kansas State’s Ayoka Lee is als on the list.
Egbo was on the Leslie Final Five Watch list last season. She set career marks in points per game (11.1), rebounds per contest (8.6) and blocks per game (1.9) last season in earning All-Big 12 Second Team honors. She helped the Bears reach the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.
Lee set a career-high with 19.1 points per game last season and earned All-Big 12 First Team honors. She was the only player in Division I to shoot 60 percent from the floor and 80 percent from the free-throw line.
The award is named for Leslie, who played her college ball at USC and had a Hall-of-Fame career in the WNBA and international basketball. She was a three-time WNBA MVP, a two-time WNBA champion, a member of the WNBA’s first All-Decade team and a four-time Olympic gold medalist.
