New Baylor head coach Nicki Collen netted three new recruits as part of her first early signing day, the Bears announced via Twitter on Wednesday.
While the Bears did not publish a release on their site, they promoted all three players on social media.
The 2022 Class includes Catarina Ferreira, a 6-foot-1 guard from Eastern Arizona College who is from Sao Paolo, Brazil; Bella Fontleroy, a 6-foot-2 guard from Kickapoo High School in Springfield, Missouri; and Kyla Abraham, a 6-foot-4 forward from Smithfield High School in Carrollton, Virginia.
Two of the signees are Top 75 players in the country, according to ESPN.com. Fontleroy is the No. 41 ranked player and Abraham is the No. 62 ranked player in the 2022 class.
The last day of the early-signing window is Nov. 17.
Collen replaced Kim Mulkey, who left Baylor after last season and took the head-coaching job at LSU.
Baylor opened the season with a 77-70 win over Texas State on Tuesday. Center Queen Egbo had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Reigning National Player of the Year NaLyssa Smith scored a team-high 23 points and had seven rebounds. Jordan Lewis, who transferred to Baylor from Alabama, scored 14 points and had seven assists in her Bears debut.
The Bears travel to UT-Arlington on Thursday, before returning home to host New Orleans.
