Despite a loss last Saturday in Waco, Oklahoma is still the betting favorite to win its seventh-straight Big 12 Title. According to BetOnline.ag, the Sooners are currently 4/5 to win the conference title, followed closely by Oklahoma State at 9/4.
Here is a look at the odds for teams remaining in the Big 12 hunt:
Odds to Win Big 12 Championship (11/17/21, BetOnline.ag)
Oklahoma State and Baylor have improved their odds dramatically when compared to the odds before the season started. Oklahoma State was 14/1 back in August and Baylor was a whopping 50/1, which goes to show how much the Bears have improved in 2021.
It seems odd that Oklahoma is still the favorite right now given the way Oklahoma State has played over the past few weeks, but history is on the Sooners’ side and it’s hard to argue that. Oklahoma State is surging at the right time though, and it has made things very interesting with two weeks left in the regular season.
The most likely outcome is a Bedlam Rematch in the Big 12 Championship, but Baylor still has an outside chance if the Sooners or Cowboys come completely off the tracks. Iowa State and Kansas State are clear longshots to make it to Arlington but, as we have seen throughout the 2021 season, anything is possible in college football.
