Four-Star Wide Receiver Kevin Thomas Decommits from West Virginia

NCAA Football: Kansas State at West Virginia

Neumann Gorretti Wide Receiver Kevin Thomas announced Wednesday evening that he has decommitted from West Virginia via his twitter account:

Thomas originally committed to West Virginia on July 30th, seven weeks after his official visit to Morgantown. Chad Scott, Co-Offensive Coordinator and Running Backs Coach, has done the majority of Thomas’ recruitment. Michigan State is the only other school that Thomas has taken an official visit to and holds an offer from the Spartans. He has taken unofficial visits to Ohio State and Penn State; neither of which have extended offers at this point in time.

Thomas, a senior at Neumann Gorretti High in Philadelphia, PA, is currently ranked by Rivals as the 35th wide receiver in the 2022 recruiting class and has earned a four-star rating by the site. He is currently the 9th best prospect in the state of Pennsylvania. Thomas is also a nationally-recognized sprinter, winning the 2020 Pennsylvania State Title in the 60-meters with a time of 7.83.

Thomas is a gifted athlete and will land on his feet somewhere; he holds fourteen offers from D-I schools such as Arizona State, Florida, Ole Miss, Oregon, and Texas A&M among others.
