Watch: Lincoln Riley, Several Assistants Depart OKC Airport for LA

The college football world was shocked on Sunday when OU head coach Lincoln Riley decided to leave Norman for the USC job.
And like everything in the college football world, things move quickly, as video surfaced on Monday morning of Riley leaving the OKC airport for LA, and it’s notable that he was leaving with defensive coordinator Alex Grinch, wide receivers coach Dennis Simmons, director of operations Clarke Stroud, and strength coach Bennie Wylie.
Here’s the video from Sooner Scoop.
Riley became the head coach in 2017 after spending two seasons as the offseason coordinator under Bob Stoops. He won the Big 12 Championship his first four seasons as the head coach, but after losing to Oklahoma State in Bedlam on Saturday night, the Sooners can’t win the conference this season.
As head coach of the Sooners, Riley has a 55-10 record and is 37-7 in Big 12 play. At just 38 years old, Riley is considered one of the best young coaches in the sport and has been tied to other college and NFL openings in recent offseasons.
Riley replaces Clay Helton, who was fired earlier in the season, and will try to take the program back to heights it hasn’t seen since Pete Carroll was running the Trojans.
