The aftermath of Lincoln Riley’s departure to USC continues to take a toll on Oklahoma’s roster. Several key players have already recommitted from the Sooners, and the transfer portal is draining the roster from within as well.
Another offensive player for Oklahoma is weighing other options, as offensive lineman, Brey Walker, has entered the transfer portal, according to a tweet from The Athletic’s Jason Kersey:
A former five-star recruit, Walker was the number one player in the state of Oklahoma in the 2018 recruiting class and was ranked 29th nationally. Listed at 6’7″ and 320, Walker is a mammoth of a man, but has had a hard time finding the field during his time in Norman.
He appeared in 11 of Oklahoma’s 12 games this year, but was never consistent enough to carve out a real role for himself.
Walker joins Spencer Rattler, Theo Wease, Jadon Haselwood, and Austin Stogner as top talents to enter the transfer portal. Oklahoma needs to find a head coach, and fast, if they want to retain any of their depth currently on roster.
