Oklahoma State Falls to Xavier in Big 12-Big East Battle

The Oklahoma State Cowboys lost their second straight game, falling to Xavier, 77-71, in the latest game of the Big 12-Big East Battle on Sunday afternoon.
With the victory, the Big 12 and the Big East are now tied at 2-2 in the annual set of games between the two conferences.
Oklahoma State had a four-point lead at halftime. But the Musketeers were able to rally in the second half to avoid a second loss to a Big 12 team in as many weeks. Xavier lost to Iowa State in the NIT Season Tip-off last week.
In the loss, Avery Anderson III had a huge game, scoring 26 points, going 10-of-18 from the floor with three 3-pointers. Bryce Williams came off the bench to add 11 points for the Cowboys. Moussa Cisse led the Cowboys with nine rebounds.
The Cowboys are off for the next eight days until they host Cleveland State on Dec. 13.
The Big 12-Big East Battle continues on Tuesday when Oklahoma hosts Butler. The Battle continues through Dec. 18 when TCU travels to Georgetown.
