Oklahoma’s Ana Llanusa was named the Big 12 Women’s Player of the Week after her huge week for the Sooners in going 2-0 last week.
In addition, Kansas State’s Brylee Glenn was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week.
Llaunsa helped the Sooners to a 2-0 week and helped them to votes in the newly-released AP Top 25 on Monday.
The Sooners defeated SMU, 84-72, and Mississippi State, 94-63, and in those two games Llanusa averaged 23 points with 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals. The big game was against SMU, in which she scored 25 points with eight rebounds, six assists and three steals. She had 21 points against Mississippi State.
The Sooners are hosted Eastern Michigan on Tuesday and No. 16 BYU on Friday.
Glenn averaged 12.5 points per game last week as the Wildcats went 1-1, defeating North Dakota State and losing to South Carolina. She scored 15 points against NDSU and 10 points against the No. 1 South Carolina Gamecocks, and she also had a team-high three steals in the game. Her teammate, Serena Sundall, won the award last week.
Kansas State is on the road this week, at Omaha on Wednesday and at South Dakota State on Saturday.
