Breece Hall Leads Big 12 on 2021 Walter Camp All-America Team

The 2021 Walter Camp All-American team was released on Thursday, and three familiar names made the list for the Big 12, including Iowa State running back Breece Hall. Hall had an incredible junior year for the Cyclones, racking up 1,766 all-purpose yards; good for fourth in the entire country and first in the Big 12. In all likelihood, the Cheez-It Bowl against Clemson will be the final game for Hall in the Cardinal and Gold and after three seasons he will be the Cyclones career-leader in touchdowns (46) and third in rushing yards (3,641).
Also on the first-team list is Baylor defensive back Jalen Pitre, who was also named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. Pitre was a catalyst for the Big 12 Champions and was involved in several key plays for the Bears defensively. Pitre totaled 70 tackles, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, seven passes defended, and 2.5 sacks. He played the safety position in 2021 the way that Ed Reed intended it to be played.
One player from the Big 12 made the second-team list, and that was West Virginia center Zach Frazier, a sophomore from Fairmont, West Virginia. Frazier finished the season with a team-high 60 knockdown blocks, only surrendered two sacks in 12 starts, and graded better than 90% in 10 of 12 games this season.
In all, 36 different schools from nine conferences were represented on the Walter Camp All-America First and Second Teams.
