Four-Star CB Terrance Brooks Flips From Ohio State to Texas

NCAA Football: Texas at Texas Tech

Over the last few days, the Texas Longhorns have made their mark on the recruiting trail. After picking up a top 150 player in the class of 2022 in Neto Umeozulu on Monday, Texas has now landed another big-time player with the signing of Terrance Brooks out of Little Elm, Texas.

Brooks is a 4-star cornerback for the class of 2022 according to 247Sports. They have Terrance as the eighth best corner in his class and is ranked as a top 60 player overall as well as the number ten player in the state of Texas.

This signing is significant not because the Longhorns are getting a talented player, but they were able to steal him away from Ohio State. Terrance committed to the Buckeyes back in the Summer but reconsidered and opted to sign with Texas instead.

It’s always fun to see these major flips on national signing day and I don’t think many people saw this one coming. Texas needs guys who can make an impact immediately especially after a disappointing 5-7 record this past season. Flipping a player from a school like Ohio State is a win in my book and Steve Sarkisian should be thrilled about getting a player like Terrance on board.
