Iowa State RB Breece Hall Declares for 2022 NFL Draft

NCAA Football: Texas Tech at Iowa State

The Iowa State football program is losing All-Big 12 running back Breece Hall to the 2022 NFL Draft. Hall put up an Instagram post on Saturday afternoon making his announcement.

Hall wrote on social media, “Playing for Iowa State has been nothing short of a gift. The last three years the team has defined five-star culture, and I could not be more grateful to be a part of that. I want to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play the game that I love so much and for putting me in this position. After much discussion with loved ones, I have decided to forego my remaining eligibility and enter the 2022 NFL Draft.”

The entire post can be seen below.

Hall was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year after he finished the 2021 regular season with 1,766 all-purpose yards, good for first in the Big 12 and fifth in the country. He is also in a three-way tie for first in the country, with 20 rushing touchdowns on the year. Hall was the fourth player to earn two Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year honors and the third to do it in consecutive years.

Hall finishes his career with 3,941 rushing yards and 50 rushing touchdowns. He also closes his career with 734 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns.

The Cyclones are getting ready for the Cheez-It Bowl later this month where they will take on the Clemson Tigers.
