Kansas men’s basketball game against Colorado scheduled for Tuesday night has been canceled due to a potential COVID-19 issue within the Colorado program.
Colorado announced the news on their social media account, writing in part, “The University of Colorado men’s basketball game against the University of Kansas scheduled for tonight at the CU Events Center has been canceled due to COVID-19 protocols within the Buffs’ program.”
According to KU Sports, the Jayhawks had not left their hotel in Boulder to head to CU Events Center, and the team learned of the cancelation just after 6 p.m. central time. The game was slated to tipoff at 8 p.m. central time on ESPN2.
According to KU spokesman Dan Beckler, both teams agreed to cancel the game, which is not going to be rescheduled this season.
Kansas is now off until next Wednesday, December 29th, when they’ll host Harvard, before tipping off the Big 12 season on January 1st against TCU.
