Former Texas WR Joshua Moore Transferring to Texas Tech

Texas Tech landed a big-time transfer on Thursday evening, as former Texas wide receiver Joshua Moore announced he was headed to Lubbock to play for Joey McGuire in 2022.
This is a match made in heaven, as the former four-star talent needed a change of scenery and the Red Raiders needed someone to help soften the blow of Erik Ezukanma leaving for the 2022 NFL Draft.
While Moore had a relatively disappointing 2021 campaign, with only 24 receptions totaling 265 yards and three scores, he led the Longhorns with nine receiving scores in 2020.
The junior from Yoakum, Texas has to be excited about his new landing spot and he should be, because there is a ton of excitement surrounding the Texas Tech Program right now. Joey McGuire has revitalized things on the recruiting trail and brought in a terrific staff to help the Red Raider leap forward in year one.
New TTU offensive coordinator Zach Kittley is surely excited about adding Moore to the WR room after losing their top two receivers in Ezukanma and transfer-senior Kaylon Geiger. The addition of Joshua Moore bolsters the roster in an area of need and should make an excellent option opposite of promising sophomore wideout Miles Price.
Texas Tech faces Mississippi State in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl on December 28th in Memphis, Tennessee. The Bulldogs are currently favored by 9.5 points.
