NCAA Football: Oklahoma State at West Virginia

West Virginia has landed their third transfer recruit of the 2022 cycle. Cornerback Marcis Floyd has committed to the Mountaineers, transferring from Murray State.

Floyd finished the 2021 season recording 40 tackles, four for a loss, three sacks and a team high two interceptions and nine pass breakups.

He is a two-time All-American and two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference selection with at least two years of eligibility left.

Floyd entered the transfer portal on December 17th, posting a statement thanking Murray State for his time there.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank God for putting me in the position that I’m in today. I would like to thank my family for helping me with this hard decision. I would also like to thank the Murray State coaches, staff, academic team, trainers, and equipment staff for everything they’ve done for me. I would also like to thank my teammates for always being there and going to war with me every step on the way. Thank you to the Murray State community for always supporting me and always showing love.”

Marcis Floyd joins former Cincinnati defensive end Zeiqui Lawton and former Clemson running back Lyn-J Dixon as West Virginia’s top transfer additions thus far.
