Oregon Without Over 30 Players Ahead of Matchup with Oklahoma

The Valero Alamo Bowl is set for an 8:15 p.m. kickoff on Wednesday night (for now) and it sounds like one of the teams will be without several players going into the contest.
According to Matt Prehm of Duck Territory, Oregon’s affiliate on 247Sports, the Ducks are missing 31 players for various reasons, and none of them have been confirmed as COVID-19 cases at this point in time.
15 players are out due to injury, four have transferred or are in the transfer portal, three have opted out for the NFL Draft, seven are “not at practice” and two have been away from the team all year.

In the wake of this news, Oklahoma has jumped from a 4.5-point favorite to a 7.0-point favorite in less than an hour. That speaks volumes at the limited depth that Oregon is showing up with.
With that list of players out, Oregon is currently down to 57 scholarship players, and if it drops any lower or a position group gets wiped out because of COVID-19, the game could be canceled. As of Monday afternoon, the game is still on and Bob Stoops will still be on the sidelines Wednesday night. All Sooners fans can do now it hang on and pray for one last Christmas miracle in 2021.
