Oklahoma WR Mario Williams Enters Transfer Portal

Oklahoma is hemorrhaging again for the second time in the span of a month and it will be interesting to see how the new coaching staff will stop the bleeding.
Not only is one of the top quarterbacks from the 2021 class in the transfer portal, but a top receiver has joined him, as Mario Williams has entered his name alongside quarterback Caleb Williams.
A five-star receiver out of Plant City, Florida, Williams was the second-ranked receiver in the class of 2021. He has made it known that playing with Caleb Williams was one of the biggest reasons he came to Oklahoma, and that alone could make the duo a package deal wherever they end up.
Here is Williams’ official announcement on Twitter Tuesday afternoon.
Williams was second on the team in receptions (35) as a true freshman and showed flashes of something special throughout the year. His athleticism made him a two-sport athlete, as he also was on scholarship to play baseball for the Sooners this spring. Now it appears he will take his talent elsewhere, making him the fourth of the top five pass catchers to depart from the Sooners depth chart in 2021.
The Sooners have already lost Jadon Haselwood (Arkansas), Mike Woods (Draft), and Austin Stogner (South Carolina), while Theo Wease was set to leave via the Transfer Portal before returning. If you are a Sooner Fan, you are just hoping that Jeff Lebby can convince the Williams duo to stick around at this point, and that seems like a stretch right now.
